Leanne Isaacson commenced as Director in August 2022.
Leanne has been at the Community Centre since November 2017, first commencing as a volunteer, then becoming the Finance Officer and full time Program Manager.

Eastwood Community Centre promotes, initiates and supports community-oriented programs projects directed towards strengthening, establishing and developing social networks and support systems that encourage self-reliance for individuals in the community
Eastwood Community Centre Incorporated is a public institution which has the charitable purpose of advancing social and public welfare, improving mental health and preventing social isolation to members of the community who are in need by:
a) Providing a physical location where it supports individuals to undertake activities, or work on projects, in the company of others.
b) Continually foster and encourage personal growth and lifelong learning within a caring, safe, friendly, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment.
c) Empowering the marginalised and vulnerable through participation in activities and education, regardless of culture, socio-economic status, or educational background.
d) Creating programs that respond to identified need, particularly for those who are ‘at risk’.
e) Promoting social inclusion to prevent and or relieve social isolation.
f) Assisting those suffering distress and/or experiencing social or financial hardship to access programs, services and support. Support services may include but not limited to:- Alcoholics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Adult Children of Alcoholics or any other 12 Step or support program/s.
g) and to pursue benevolent purposes as the Board of Management deems appropriate and are consistent with the strategic direction of the Association
To achieve the above, the Centre:

Develop programs to increase participation
Actively develop partnerships, relationships and networks
Work within the framework of a well-functioning, well-structured strategic organization
Ensure financial sustainability with adequate resources to meet the needs of the community
Promote and market Eastwood Community Centre in a planned manner to increase community awareness.
The Centre is governed by a voluntary management committee which focuses on the organisation’s broad issues of organisational purpose and strategic direction. In summary, the management committee’s accountabilities are to endorse the strategic plan and policy framework, and to ensure and monitor financial viability and compliance with all legislative, statutory and contractual duties and obligations. Members of the committee are participants at the Centre, local residents and business owners, all of whom come with skills and expertise in a broad range of areas including: Business, management, adult learning, community, finance and marketing. All office bearers, exclusive of the secretary, are appointed from within the membership for a two-year period.
The management committee has been chaired by Peter Klar this year with Sonya Brocklehurst as Treasurer.
